Various types of specimens (bones, skeletons, taxidermy samples, models etc) are accepted by AVAM pursuant to ethical precedents. Donated specimens are directly sent to our labs for a pre-examination in terms of anatomical accordance, pathological, microbiological and toxic risk analyses and ethical evaluation. Afterwards, if the specimens are approved with regard to these parameters, they are recorded to the inventory of the AVAM.
